OSAOHN Board Member to Run for AAOHN Directorship
Linda Meuleveld, BA, RN, COHN-S, CCM, FACFEI, VPS, OSAOHN President Elect 2008-2010 is running for a Director position for the Mountain/Western Region in the AAOHN Board elections to be held this Fall.
Linda is a long term member of OSAOHN and has served in many positions on the OSAOHN board including President. She has also served as the Oregon State Legislative Coordinator to AAOHN from 2005-2008.
In her Philosophy and Platform Statement Linda states:
'I want to do everything I can to help provide organizational leadership today, so that the next generation of leaders will be able to continue to support AAOHN members in their quest for professional excellence.
As a candidate for the Mountain/Western Region, I would like to focus on these important issues:
Ways to retain and grow membership
Methods for leveraging communication
Maintaining networking relationships

New Respirator Fit Testing Requirements - OROSHA
Oregon OSHA has a memo at http://www.cbs.state.or.us/external/osha/interps/2008/tbmemo.pdf
regarding annual respirator fit-testing for tuberculosis.
As of April 1, anyone who is required to use a respirator, including the N-95 filtering facepiece used for exposure to tuberculosis, must
have annual fit-testing.
